Friday 17th September 2010 - Charity Football Match

 

Rab's Fund got off to a great start with a stunning 5-2 defeat of the Bobby 'Beetroot' Select.

 

As many thought, the opposing side was peppered with many seasoned veterans. For example, former Rangers man Ian Ferguson was in the starting line-up. 

Bobby considered Rab's team a 'bunch of clobberers', but most spectators agreed that it was a team full of youth, pace and energy against another just short of fitness. 

 

Still, there was plenty of entertainment on the menu, and not just from the boys (and girl) on the pitch, two teams of cheerleaders gave a fantastic performance during the intervals. Thank you very much to all the girls.

 

Food and refreshments were handled by the catering girls perfectly, and sales of Bovril and steak pies were going through the roof.

 

The expected fundraising total so far is £1,600, but there is still more to be added.

 

Thank you to everyone who made it and special thanks to those that were involved. Robert's pleased with his 100% football-managing record so far!
